Long Road

Vincent: So if you're quitting the life, what'll you do?
Jules: That's what I've been sitting here contemplating.

Been doing a lot of stuff lately, just not blogging about it. It feels like it's been a rough year, but the reality of it is that it's probably no worse than anybody elses year. One of the big problems (at least for me) in being self employed is that you're constantly making your job up as you go. And while that freedom is great, it's easy to get lost along the way, especially when you are as prone to distraction as I am. Distractions breed delays, and delays breed stress. Which makes me wonder why I'm doing what I'm doing- even though the stress is largely my own creation. Which is where I'm at right now.

Cross season is upon us, and while it's without doubt my favorite time of the year, it is a whole crap ton of work. Much of which could have been prepped this summer, but oh no, that's too easy... But now I've got no choice but to knuckle down and Git R Done. Which is why I'm happy that one of the two New Years Resolutions I've actually kept in my life was to start drinking caffeine again. The other one was to go vegan, and that worked out pretty good too.

So, with a mug of Peets, and a vegan blueberry muffin I'm sitting down to watch this:

And then I'm going back to work.
